Minor and Pregnant

I’m a minor and pregnant, what will parenting look like for me?

If you’re under 18 and pregnant you’ve come to the right place. We are here to walk alongside you and support you in your decision. Our team at Lifeline Pregnancy Center is always here to be in your corner, but we also believe being honest and truthful is incredibly important. We want to make sure you know about the “full brochure” of whatever decision you make for yourself and your baby, and parenting is no different.

Parenting is hard even when you aren’t trying to navigate high school. Parenting can feel significantly more difficult whenever you are a minor.

Some questions you may ask yourself about parenting as a minor in order to have a clearer picture of what this will look for you are:

-will there be shared responsibility for caring for the baby between you and the baby’s father?

-where will the baby go during the day while you’re going to school?

-what support will your family be able to provide for you? Is this tangible support or emotional support?

-is your living environment safe for a baby to live in?

-do you want to be parenting in high school?

Deciding what option is best for you and your baby while you’re a minor will be one of the hardest things you ever do. But guess what? You can do hard. And you don’t have to do this alone.

You probably have a lot of people telling you what you should do with your pregnancy and our role is to help you make the most informed decision you can for yourself and for your baby. Give us a call today to set up a time to talk with the team at Lifeline Pregnancy Center about your options for your pregnancy and to fully map out what parenting could like for you and your baby.
